Run of show

  1. Welcome

Ari & Josh open the ceremony — a welcome, the shape of the afternoon, what this day means to them, and a few words on the marriage traditions they are braiding together from their respective faiths.

  2. Readings

A poem — to be chosen; reader TBD.

A passage from Corinthians — version to be chosen; reader TBD.

  3. Love share-out

Anyone who wishes may speak. The theme is Ari & Josh, love, marriage, and family — a story, a poem, a piece of scripture, or whatever feels right.

  4. Jewish prayer

A modern remix of the Seven Blessings. Each of the Strupps will read a blessing.

  5. Bahá'í prayer

One or two prayers from the Bahá'í tradition.

  6. Ketubah

Reading of the ketubah — Ari & Josh.

Signing of the ketubah — six witnesses.

  7. Vows

A selected Jewish vow, then Bahá'í vows.

  8. Rings

    We exchange rings.

  9. Bahá'í certificate

Signed by two witnesses — our moms.

  10. Seal the deal

    Smash the glass. Kiss.
